Pierce shop and sketches

so i needed to blow off some steam because the below painting wasn't going so hot. And this gouache ballerina happened. Oh and random sketchbook ramblings from a test i took this mornin'.
piece one. Jason of Primitive Impressions looking at a tongue barbel
Jason working on my friend Emma.

acrylic on illustration board. I'm not that pleased with the outcomes. I got pretty burnt out at the end of this crazy quarter.

oh boy.

some progress on the second piece in my visual essay series. Currently like it better than the first. But I totes screwed up the first one by pushing myself yesterday. I will have both done tomorrow night. Acrylic on ill board.
And hey. Bastardizing the amazing McBess's style. Self portrait.

Jason in progress

so i took a quick picture of this... Acrylic, 8x10, illustration board, about 2 or so hours in. I've really only been focusing on the face thus far...

Need a break, gonna sleep, do some other work, and come back to this this weekend. I have a second one on this guy for the series to go as well.

Jason at Primitive Impressions, Village Gate, Rochester, NY.
He was messing around with tongue barbel thingies for my friend Emma who had just gotten her tongue pierced. You'll see in the next piece.

gutenacht.
