hey guys!

first time i actually have somewhat successfully painted myself realistically.

I've been so busy at work that I haven't painted/drawn/doodled/ANYTHING in over two weeks. I doodle at work but those are on notebook paper haha

which OH! I am now a full time animator/designer at Workinman! It's awesome and I'm excited :) Been doing a lot of matte painting lately which has my digital skills gettin' better all the time.

Digital, photoshop, about 2 hours total.

this is about 11x17. biggest thing I've done in awhile. Acrylic and micron pen here and there. I'm getting goofier and cartoonier as time goes on, and i think I like it.

and I really don't know why i drew this. It's me chasing a cat that's stolen my choco chip cookie dough. Durn varmints.

Finished my first walk cycle today. It was so much easier than it was when I tried a few weeks back. I'm slowly learning this language they call Flash. A friend of one of my coworkers came in today, and he animates on the f**king amazing shows Superjail and Metalocalypse. Talk about inspiring!

Hoping to get into the studio more and get more commissions done. Things have been mighty crazy around here lately!

been having a lot of scares anyways, probably have to go to cleveland clinic soon and be told "nothing's wrong, but if you keep stressing yourself out then i can't promise anything".

Digital portrait fun time

EDIT: here's the last one before i go to bed. had a photo of a lady in a headdress in a desert being hipster. 30 minute speedpaint.

So tonight I weaned myself off the round brush (and a few other favorites) and I forced myself to paint with some new photoshop brushes.

I love it.

That's Pete Townshend of the Who. I was pretty much obsessed with him as a kid.

Took an hour.
I did not take a photo, I painted myself from a mirror. It's off. I just have such a tough time painting myself. I did this before the Pete one, so it's also me getting used to the new brush.

I'm probably going to do another one yet tonight, I"ll be sure to post it on this post.

I'm back in Rochester. NYC was nice. The concert was amazing.

I've decided I am not in love with any city or coast, really.

Hiya guys. Here's some doodles I've been doing to kill some stress.

Watched Crumb last night with some friends... So. Depressing. So i drew crumb and his brother, with a bit of personal history written 'side it. So much mental illness. I grew up with it in the family- movie really got to me.

Anyways.. drew some civil war soliders who fought at Manassas.... Saw Broken Social Scene in ithaca on friday and it was AMAZING. So I drew kevin drew, sam goldberg and the drummer in under 15 minutes.

Aaand I tried drawing myself. I cannot draw myself. This is proof. Ugh. Urgh. Bleh.
